I'm wondering if I'm not having heart problems...my doctor doesn't seem to think so, but this is rather alarming. I have bronchitis, have had it for a month or more. I've been on two courses of antibiotics with not much help. I have been having high blood pressure for the last year or so, usually 120/90, and I usually have a fast pulse, around 100. I am diabetic (type 1)and overweight as well. The concern is really about my heart, but the background seemed to fit here :) Last night my doctor told me to go to the ER because I was having to take massive amounts of insulin to get my blood sugar down. The problem is, when I went there, my blood pressure was 162/111, and my pulse was 138. They gave me fluids, said all was related to my diabetes and/or bronchitis and call the doc in the morning. Well, I haven't slept, and I'm having some pressure in my chest. Sort of in the middle, with some achy pain on the left side of my neck. I called the doctor, and they made an appointment for me in an hour, because they don't believe this to be heart related. I'm really not sure what to think now, but I'm a little scared. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Those are classic symptoms. Be sure to keep that appt. and let us know how it went. It could be related to the bronchitis, but you need to make sure it's not something more serious going on.
