Hi My mom is 85 year old, Dr. just told her that she had Squamous cell Carcinoma in her mouth and the turmoil is very big. The only thing they can do now is radiation and no chemo.I heard about tian xian liquid. Has someone tried it yet and how about its effectiveness?.Please let me know thanksfor your help

I'm sorry to here your mom has cancer, But I work in the nuclear field for a living and I just went through the same, My diagnose was a little different as mine was squamous laryngeal cancer, I was grade 1 invasive and was at T4 in stage.
What really worrys me about your, mom is her age, I would not have thought that any Oncologist would have never even considered such a treatment for your mom at her age, as far as Tian Xian..All that I have read on it reads like a miracle cure, I did not try it myself because I could not afford it cash wise either and there are no miracle cures. do yourself a favor and check out:.......... www.quackwatch.org (http://www.quackwatch.org) and run a search for Tian.
This sight is written by MD,s so bear that in mind as most of them have just in the last few years have even givin any merit at all to alt med. so take it with the grain a salt, It is a great site though.
Back to your mom, I strongly strongly suggest a second opinion, Try to find a oncologist that is a DO, not an MD and see what he has to say, I would have to know more about your moms condition to give you good advice,
but if you wish, I will help you all I can, but, there's just way to much to do it by e-mail, I can tell you that I do not feel that your mother could ever recover from IMRT, it almost destroyed me at 50...but I would have to know more about her situation. So leave me a e-mail address so I can leave you my land line if you wish. There was a tremendous amount of information that they did not cover with me going into this that you really need to know to make an intelligent decision. And the side effects seem almost endless, you can benefit from all I have had to figure out the hard way, So let me know and if not God be with you and your mom, I,ll say a prayer for her...Steve
