I notice a lump on my left "lip" in my vagina. It is very emabarrassing to even think of having my doctor look at it, is this some place that cancer could occurr or could it just be a cyst or could it just be a ball of tissue?

It could quite possibly be a small cyst, or a pimple-like erruption. Is it irritated? And how small is "small"? The size of a grain of rice, the size of a pea? Can you describe it more clearly?

It is a little larger than a pea, if I press down on it moves, its not irritated, but If I do move it down and up its a little uncomfortable, feels more like I have been touching a bruise for a long time. Its more oval that round also. I also want to add that it is more towards the inside, not on the outside, also it doesnt feel very vainy its more smooth it that makes any sense and its harder not very sponge like.

I'm wondering if you are young enough to have never had a female exam yet and that is why you are nervous/embarressed to have a doctor see you?
I've had one every year since I was 16 (I'm 49) and I want to assure you that
1) For a doctor you are a job. Same as if he was examining your elbow. His wife/girlfriend is another story!
2) You can reguest a female doctor if that would make you more comfortable.
3) A nurse is always in the room with you & the doctor during the actual exam.
4) A family member (mom?) can stay in with you during the exam but would be seated up by your head so there wouldn't be a view. There is a sheet draped over the bottom half of you so that only the folks by your feet can do their job.
Call your doctor soon! It's probably Nothing, but the rule is that you Don't Mess With Lumps!!

I have been to a Gyno before I am 24, its just placed in an embarassing spot and I'm the type of person who doesnt like to bring that sort of thing up, its uncomfortable enough I also think I like to downplay things and dont wanna bother him if he might think its silly. I know I shouldnt, I just do.

I have scheduled a Dr. appointment on October 2nd with my gyno, and am going to question the lump and a few other symptoms, just thought I might get some input, I have a very bloated tummy and when I press on the top of it about 1 1/2 inches, it feels very hard and vainy and I feel crampy on both the left and right side of my ovaries, the left feels more like there is this ball there, maybe the size of a prune, any input? Thank you.
