Hello and thanks to anybody taking time out to read this,

i'll start with someback ground info,

Last year in the back end of sept i started to get chest pains and a tightness around my chest, doctors thought it was gerd had ab scan, endoscopy, heart tests, blood tests etc all came back fine/normal started taking zantac 3 times a day chest pains sorta went most of the time.Then......in the middle of dec i started having hoarseness of my voice no pain tho my voice would some times cut out while talking after clearing my throat it would return, docs put this down to acid in my voice box, then end of dec start of jan i get a on/off sore throat (sometimes my full mouth is sore) tho my doctor can't see a infection im taking my second course of antibiotics at the moment.
On monday i noticed a lump on the back of my neck its soild tho a little swollen doesnt move with a smaller pea sized lump( may even be smaller than a pea) near it which is hard.I have showed this to my doctor who says she'll refer me if this doesnt go away with the antibiotics i have to go back next week. She also said if it where on her neck she would'nt worry (Yeah Right!!!!)
I do feel unwell in myself it seems to have been one health problem after another for me these last 4 months im only 27 don't drink quit smoking 9 weeks ago.I have 3 young children that depend on me im scared for them and cant think of anything but this at the moment the constant worry is making me worse.I think doctors think things like this only happen to older people!
i also get breathless at times, and i once coughed the slightest bit of blood up.
Anybody who has or knows somebody whos been though this?,i could really do with some support right now.

sorry for long post

Hi. Lisa. Sorry your having all of those problems. I just turned 38 and I think in the last 7 months my body too is falling apart. I also have had one thing after another and the doctors look and can,t find anything either, so tests go on. I think my doctor thinks all of my symptoms are anxiety related and she doesn,t really pay to much attention to any new problems I seem to get, but I am really having problems and I don,t feel anxious. I have 2 kids too and worry because the doctors haven,t found whats wrong. The only thing I guess we can do is keep going until they listen to our concerns, if we don,t look after ourselves know one else will. Let us know how things go. Sandra

Hi again. Yes my doctor is the same way. Because I,ve had so many problems in the last 8 months along with anxiety, now every time I come in my doctor seems to say anything new also is attributed to anxiety as well. If she would look back at my history I was always the one a year visitor just for my annual physical, I never came in unless it was important. It started yast year with pressure in the head, dizziness, lightheadedness and I had every test and saw 2 specialists, this lasted about 5 months, and stomach problems overlapped that and now she has me on meds which help the stomach problems(which she ran some tests for as well) now I am having back pain which I don,t know if it has anything to do with the other stuff but shes now concerned at all, but all I do if start to worry that all of this is some how connected but the doctors haven,t figurered out why yet. I also too have a lump at the back of my neck but the left side, I have had it for 26 years, since I was in grade 7 with the measles, the doctor thought nothing of it, and my doctor now doesn,t know, I figure if it,s been there that long (its never gotten bigger) and nothing has happened it can,t be much. If you haven,t had yours checked out yet, I would just for piece of mind, just so you don,t have anymore stuff to make jou anxious. I rthink you always worry more if you have kids and wonder what will happen to them if you weren,t around, and I think sometimes doctors think we,re to young to have anything bad happen to us so they brush the big stuff off. All I want is for my health problems to be heard and know that the foolow up is the best and the most complete and timely just in case something needs to be caught. Let me know how things are going. Hi Lisa,
Sorry to hear about the problems you're having. When I turned 40, my body started to change.....caught me by surprise because I've been athletic all my life. I wasn't happy with my doctor and didn't feel he was genuinely concerned about my health. The point I want to make is I switched to another doctor and what a difference it has made! He is concerned and has helped, and as a result of good medical care and advice, I now feel as healthy as I ever have. Of course, I have made some lifestyle changes.....quit smoking 9 years ago (and I'm glad to hear you have too), cut way back on caffeine, and forcing myself to exercise more often.
I really hope you feel better soon. Take care, and let us know how things are going.
Rob

I would maybe consider changing doctors but I am up in Canada close to Toronto and in my region there are probably over 1500 people without family doctors. I really am lucky to have one main person to look after my care, but right now with these problems going on I don,t really feel connected with her in my health care, I really feel like more should be happening but I think she chalks it all up to anxiety. Where are you from Lisa? Sandra

Hi Sandra and Rob  ,
Im in the UK,
I could change doctors tho you have a hard time finding ones that are taking people on around here.Sometimes i dare'nt even tell my doctor of new problems for fear she'll think im a hypochondriac tho i do admit i worry more now over my health than i ever have,i think it comes from not getting answers,I do..... well the doctors think i have gerd which isnt very nice at the best of times. But thats all they are doing guessing ive had no tests to prove it .

keep in contact
hope you are well

What tests, if any, have they done?
