This is for anyone out there that is just considering getting Lasik. I say DO IT! Of course, you need to go to your doctor first and find out if you are a candidate. And, I am not talking about your regular eye doctor. I have been through a few eye doctors over the years and each one of them told me, "You are not a candidate for Lasik, so just stick with us and we will keep you seeing the best you can!" Right! So, I went to a Lasik specialist...they only do Laser Surgeries...they gave me the exam and said I was a candidate! I don't want to say that every eye doctor out there will fib to keep you as a patient but, in my experience, if I would have just accepted what they said, I wouldn't be seeing glasses free right now.

That being said, if fear is a factor keeping you from Laser/Lasik/whatever other names this surgery goes under, don't be afraid! It is so simple and the most worthy minor surgery around! Don't deny yourselves the luxury this procedure provides just because you are afraid. If you are a candidate...don't hesitate. I wish that I hadn't. It would have been wonderful to see all of my guests at my wedding as well as I can see now. I wish that I could have experienced Hawaii and my trip to Europe a year ago with my new eyesight. This surgery is a God Send and I look forward to all of the future sights I will see perfectly now!

Hey! Excited I can see hehe. See your on the second day and your amazed! Any blurry/haze like I have? If you are lucky both are perfect like my right one is hehe. But mines getting better daily! If my friend wouldnt of had this surgery and i watched him go thru it, and how easy and painless he said it was, and watching him go home, nap and then be ok to do stuff...I would prob still be wearing contacts/glasses.

Hey I figured you were a guy, and was just curious since you said your married, how old are you if you dont mind saying? Was just curious who I was talking to ;) Does your husband have bad eyes? If so is he next? :) You better change your name to Seeing Without Glasses, instead of Hating Glasses now haha.

Now go rest your eyes, and stop using em on this computer haha. I still get headaches sometimes from the computer or these day bright days w/ the snow...but other than that its ok...and like i said better daily...

Heheh! Very excited! I am about 26 hours post-op and can hardly believe the difference. Both eyes have had their moments of slight blurriness today. My left is going through it right now. I kind of think that they are a little tired but, I am at work so, I can't really rest them until after my follow-up appointment tonight. They have been somewhat dry most of the day today. That is the only thing I am a little worried about. I did have some dryness with contacts as well...more than this to my memory. I am going to ask the doctor if it is usual to experience the dryness. I have rewetting drops and have been using them. I think I will be just fine. Not too concerned.

Hehehe! Last time I looked, I wasn't a guy! Hehehe! I am 31...will be 32 in just a couple days of a month from now. I guess you could call this surgery my own special Birthday present to myself! Selfish? Not in this case! My husband has 20/20 if not better. The lucky guy! He is kind of my inspiration. He could always see license plate numbers from distances inconceivable to me with my glasses. He could see speed limit signs so far away it made me jealous. I don't know if I will ever have sight that great but, it is already better than what it was with glasses so, I hope to be beating him in my distance vision soon enough!

I should change my name. Hated Glasses maybe? Glasses no more! We'll see!

I am glad your eyes are getting better day by day. Don't worry about the blurriness in the one eye until your doctor tells you to. I have a feeling it is just a healing thing.
