I had my breast reduction 9 days ago. It was a snap. I have had absolutly no pain whatsoever. Other than moving a little slower its been great.
I was a very full D cup. I requested to go down to a full B. Although my breast are perky (which is great) they seem to still be quite large. My D cup bra still fits. I am hoping that it's just swelling.
Has anyone experienced this after a reduction. I do realize you will have swelling but two cup sizes doesn't sound right.
I am going to see the surgeon on Wednesday to have steristrips removed and I would like to discuss this with him. I will be very upset If I am still going to be large chested.
If anyone has any info. of the swelling after breast reduction I would love to hear from you.

Hi Liz-
I had a breast redux a little over 4 yrs ago. I was a F cup (OMG- it was horrible!). After the redux I ended with a D cup but it seemed to take FOREVER for all the swelling to go down. If I remember correctly I was still a bit swollen almost 9 months later. I remember at my 1 week PO appointment that I felt I was bigger than I was pre-op and horrified!
Give it time. It takes a long time for your body to heal completely. Don't over do it because you feel good and take the chance of negatively impacting your results. I learned the lesson the hard way by lifting boxes at work 3 weeks PO and hurt myself pretty bad!
Good luck!

Thank for your reply Wendy. I can't even imagine an F cup you poor thing you must of had alot of neck problems.
I too feel like I am bigger than immediatley after surgery so it must be swelling.
Thanks again,
Liz

Hi,
I know your question was already answered but I too had major swelling after my breast reduction. It was 2 years ago when I was 15. I was a ddd/e cup. Went down to a full b, I've now grown back to a full d cup. Oh fun! Anyways, I had a lot of swelling afterwards, for quite some time too. The swelling will go down in time. Just remember to not over-do it. And actually for me, it was the bruising that freaked me out more than the swelling. Anyways, I felt great after the surgery, next day I was up and walking, and ended up throwing up because it was too much for my body to handle even though I felt ok. Hope everything post-op is going good. Keep us updated.
