Ellen,
It has been awhile since I chatted with you. I guess now that we are doing well we don't sit at our computers as much as we use to. It is hard to believe that we are approaching the year anniversary of our surgery. I am feeling better than ever. I was so excited when I actually have an impression from my big toe in my shoes. Life is great when you are pain free.

I do think that I am going to have the hardware removed this summer. I get out of school on June 24 and would like to have surgery as soon as possible after that. I will keep you posted on when etc.

Hope that you are doing well.

Jennie

Jennie,

I am doing well, thank you. Yep, it will be a year in March, my only complaint is that I occasionally have tenderness at the fusion site, but I think that is due in part to weather changes here in Illinois. I am also excited because I got new boots for Christmas that pull up over the calf and I was actually able to get them on and they feel good and with this weather we have been experiencing as of late, that is a very good thing.

I am glad that you are doing so well. I hope that the hardware removal goes well for you, it can't be any worse than anything else you have been through.

Take care of yourself and keep in touch every now and then!

It is very encouraging to see you are both doing well one year post fusion...I have read both of your threads during my recovery here...way too much time on the computer!!! I am almost 3 weeks now and very encouraged and excited about being pain free...thank you both even though you have no idea how you have helped!

dlh,
Glad to help. I know that this board was a life saver when I was home. My words of advice are follow the doctor's instructions and don't push too hard.
