im not an easily embarassed person so i've talked to my mom about this and she doesnt know what the problem is. i've looked up online and the two things that seem to match my problem are constipation and just not enough water/fiber in my diet.

when i was little, (i'll spare the details), i'd hold in my bowel movements. i cant remember why. i thought there was a problem then, so my mom took me to the doctor and he stuck his finger in my butt, (lol, sorry for the informality), and said everything is fine, i just have to let it out.

but i didnt. i believe i held it in almost constantly for four years (from 8-12ish, im 16 now) about once a week i'd have to go because i couldnt hold it in anymore.

long story short, i took a HUGE crap one day and i swear it was 2 feet long if connected. i felt empty after that, so i thought everything was good. since then i've been crapping like a normal person, only my movements have been infrequent as hell, and/or inconsistent. they're usually twice a week (i havent really took note), or sometimes it'll be back to back, then a week before i go again. the crap itself is usually quite big, but not too big, and hard at the front and soft at the back. sometimes it'll be small and soft as well. when its bigger though, there'll be a little bit of blood around the front harder part, but none when i wipe, and no real pain (other than the "i just took a big crap" feeling).

so i was wondering if there's really a problem i should see the doctor about, or if its just my diet.

oh, i dont know if this is related, but last week while i was sitting here watching Menace II Society, my whole abdominal felt like it was about to explode.

i mean, it felt like there was so much pressure on the inside of my body that my skin was about to tear open. there was a bit of pain near what i think is my kidneys (im not too familiar with biology)...then i ended up taking a mean whizz and everything died down.

Yes, you did need to work on getting your bowels or a regular schedule. At least once a day. Some think that twice is better. You can probably get there by drinking about 2 liters of water each day and making sure you get enough fiber. Fiber Choice is very easy to take and work well. Look at the labels on all the stuff you eat and go for what every has the most fiber.

I did the same thing you did when I was younger. It took a while to get "regular" but it is well worth it. Storing old stool in your colon seems to increase the risk of cancer.

Go every time you have even a slight urge to go. Soon you will get in to a routine and know what the real signal feels like without thinking about it.

Let us know how you are doing!
