HI! I had my right total hip replacement on Jan 4th and right now I am feeling great. WHen it was first done, I was very uncomfortable and thought I would never move that leg again, not to mention walk. Of course with physical therapy and time it kept getting better. I went to rehab and was there for l2 days. I am so happy I did that instead of going home. The PT and Ot there were wonderful and it really all helped so much. WHen I was there my blood count was really low so I had to be rushed back to the hospital for a blood transfusion (a horrible experence in the ER)...I was gone about l2 hours and didn't return to rehab til 2:30 am!...Well anyway, now I am walking with a cane, I also have a walker. I will have PT at home for 2 weeks and then outpatient for 4 weeks. I am getting used to things at home again and feel great.
If anyone has any questions for me, I will be happy to answer. ALl I can say is that I am pain free for the first time in a long time and I am so happy I did this now and didn't put it off.
