dedeeisme 01-21-2005, 09:04 PM I have been experiencing strange pain in my chest, left shouder, left side of neck and left leg. Does anyone know if this is heart related? NineLives 01-21-2005, 09:15 PM It very well could be. You need to get it checked out right away! jaclyncho 01-27-2005, 03:10 AM sounds like you have angina. Does it hurt when you are not excercising? or at rest? That info would help. I could probably help you with some info if you give me some more info. Thanks Lenin 01-27-2005, 09:05 AM "Left leg" is the oddball in that scenario. Did you have a fall recently? Ryguy1 01-27-2005, 09:22 AM Does it sound heart-related? Yes, but it also sounds stomach-related, muscle-related, or pretty much anything-in-that-area-related. There are an endless amount of causes for chest pain, and you won't know how serious or benign yours is unless you get it check out by a physician. NineLives 01-27-2005, 09:52 PM Lenin the left leg thing may actually be a possibility of a problem with the heart. After I had my stent and bypass I had coronary artery spasms that would cause me to have a rhythmic pain that would start on the left side of my chest and go down my left arm and left leg. It would keep spasming in a rhythmic pattern. I have questioned other people to see if they've had left leg pain along with angina and I've only heard of a few people. Lenin 01-28-2005, 07:24 AM NineLives, Excuse the apparent simplicity of this question, but they didn't harvest the blood vessels they needed for your bypass from your left leg did they. (Remember, I apologized before asking that silly question.:D:D:D) NineLives 01-28-2005, 08:49 AM No not a silly question and no need for an apology! They actually used the mammary artery only because I had a single bypass so I can't attribute the pain to a leg incision. And I do understand why you questioned me about that because there is nothing that I've ever read in any literature about left leg pain being heart related. I'm speaking strictly from experience. I no longer have that pain because I'm no longer have coronary artery spasms. |
