I am wondering if this is causing me problems or will in the future, I am 23 & have always walked my feet pointed -slightly- inward (Like / \ as opposed to most whose are like this \ / It isnt really noticable but if you look at my footprints you will see, I recently have taken up jogging & dont know if this has anything to do with it, but I get shinsplints almost all the time if I run to hard (dont really remember getting them when I was younger.) When I catch myself walking like this I correct it, but its not something thats easy to concentrate on 24/7, if I did make a real effort to try to correct it would they eventually grow normally this way or is that pointless as I am 23 & my growing stage is pretty much a thing of the past? I just worry about my future if this will affect my walking?

You should go the a foot doctor and have him prescribe wedges for your shoes. No wonder that you are having problems. This situation puts your whole frame out of alignment.
When my older son was first walking I noticed that he was pigeon toed. We go him shoes with wedges on the inside of the heel and outside of the front part of the shoe. After a few years he was OK.
Younger son was the opposite and had bad turning in of the ankles. Opposite side wedges fixed him up.

thanks for the info, Ill get it checked out :)
hi,
what r wedges? what will happen if we do not do anything? will my knee and hips give way?
My 11 year old son has sever "toeing in" and his pediatrician keeps brushing it off. It is so severe that he kept tripping & falling in 3rd grade. His gym teacher called me and wanted him checked out for cerebral palsy (he does not have it). Still, the pediatrician says he is fine. Well, he certainly doesn't look fine when he walks. So, I made an appointment for him with my podiatrist in October. Hopefully, she can recommend something to help fix this problem.
