I had a lumpectomy in Sept. '00, and a reexcision in Oct. I sailed through both procedures, didn't touch the pain pills. Now, I have deep pain in the affected breast, at times severe. Doc says it's "just healing", but of course i think the tumor is back. Anyone had this kind of pain??

I too had a lumpectomy in October and another one in November. I've also had pain right over the scar that hurt so bad I could barely touch it. After a few days the pain went away. I was also having radiation during this time so maybe it was partially from that. I seem to have different aches and pains in the area at different times, especially around the time of my period. I'm also on Tamoxifen which seems to have decreased the pain some.
