To all,
I had my annual physical / lab testing done recently and just got my lab results.
Blood work, EKG, Lipid Panel, chest X-ray.
Everything was perfectly normal, except my trigycerides were a tad high, but since I'm an addmitted sugar/carb addict I was satisfied with those #'s just a little high.
Also for the last week I have opted for smaller, more frequent meals, much more fiber and whole grains, lots of veggies, very little meat, and cut caffeine except for 2 cups of coffee in the AM. I have lowered my sugar waaaaaay down to a couple of servings of fruit and sugar-free jello.
I also doubled my walks from 1/12 to 2 mi most days.
Cut out the HRT last Monday.
BP has seemed to stabilized to an ave of 127/70.
Any thoughts as to which of the above helped? Maybe all?
Anyway I am optimistically thrilled! :bouncing: :bouncing:

CASS-
This is great kid!
I would guess that everything you've been doing has helped, but if I had to lay my money on one thing it would be the extra exercise.
Keep it up!

Congrats! I, too, would bet on the exercise being the largest factor. I know my sis tried a number of lifestyle changes, one at a time, and said that for her exercise was the only thing that made a very appreciable difference. I've never been ambitious enough to exercise regularly long enough to tell for myself.

HRT contains estrogen which can raise blood pressure. That one might also be a big player.
In any case, keep up what you are doing! It seems to be working!
