I would like to hear what you all are doing about your winter-dried heels. I have bought some spa socks and I'm slathering a ton of lotion on and putting the socks on every night before bed. It seems to be working very well, but it's just not an absolute cure. Flip-flop season is hurtling toward us..what shall we do?!?!?!?

Vaseline plus socks at night should help.
There is something, think it is called "Lacderm" at pharmacy that works well. "Dermalac" is a prescription but insurance companies do not cover anymore. It cost $85 per bottle. Hope I am remembering the names right.

Definitely agree on the vaseline with socks. It works best for me when I file my dry heels right before bed, put on a ton of vaseline, then socks. Don't do it right after a shower or bath - I find that I don't get a good file with my heels softened by the water.
You can really see the difference overnight.

I actually filed my feet this morning :D . My husband informed me that they felt "gross" and sure enough they were like sand paper! I am now wearing (don't laugh!) plastic bags and a pair of socks on my vaseline drenched feet.
I usually just file, slather on the vaseline and put socks on but this time they are really dry and I figured the bags would solve the problem of all the vaseline soaking into the socks. I hope this works because it is quite slippery(yes I could have waited until I went to bed but I have no patience!) and my feet are sweating like crazy. With my luck all I'll get out of this are some awful smelling feet  !

the best thing ever for dry cracked feet is salex 6%. I was perscribed this by my dermatologist. It has done wonders for feet. Then once every couple of weeks I take a pumice stone to my feet while I'm in the shower and buff them a little just to keep them in tip top shape. My feet look and feel terrific!

Kerasal works great. I use to file and it came right back. You can go on line and get a free sample.

To me, it seems like the "fake" pumice stones work better than the real thing. Last time I got a pedicure at the salon they used one of those. I bought it at Sallys for maybe 1 or 2 dollars. It is pink and rectangular like a small bar of soap. Its pretty rough but made of a light sponge like material instead of a stone. I use my foot spa and soak for 20-30 min. Then I scrub them in the bathtub with the stone and foot scrub. It does not remove all the roughness the first time, but I did it 3 times in 2 weeks and now my feet are very soft again. My husband cannot call them iguana claws now lol

When you scrub your feet how long are you suppose to do it?
I do use Kerasal on my feet and I am very pleased with it. I just need to use it more often. Especially during this season.

Old fashioned but it works great!Of course sand down heels then apply vicks overnite.
Of course cover those feet with socks. This also works great for hands and helps to heal splits in your hands.AND if you have a grease monkey hubby like mine this also helps pull all the grease dirt ect. out of the hands, just slather some on rub around for a few min,and then wash off.Hubby should see a good improvment, sometimes they may have to do this a few times or a few min, longer for the rub.AND ITS CHEAP!!!!
Hope this helps! Misery
