hello
Basically, i often get stomach pains (almost 100% of times in the morning), resulting in two or three bowel movements in a period of two hours (Stools are always soft in these occasions) in between and before these BMs I have stomach pains. Afterwards however, I am normally okay with only light stomach pains at worst.
Things that seem to make it worse are :
Anxiety
For example, I went away over the christmas period on holiday, taking a break from work and studying. I found my stomach had no problems, i was producing solid stools and only about one a day. Also, recently, I had a university interview and beforehand I was very nervous. The entire morning I suffered from stomach pains and had two or three bowels movements. The interview actually went well, and afterwards I found that my symptoms had disappeared along with my feelings of anxiety.
Lack of Sleep
Excessive alcohol consumption on the preceding night
I initially thought it could be IBS, and my doctor prescribed me 'meberverine' tablets to limit bowel movements, however they did not work. I don't think it is IBS because it only seems to affect me first thing in the morning. I never have 'urges' to make a stool either.
Thank you so much for any help you may supply
