Ok so I know this may seem a bit weird and maybe it's just me. But I have had two surgeries now and after each one I smelled something different on me for the most part it is gone now but today no matter what I did it just stayed with me. I call it surgey smell, everyone here says I am nuts but I really smell something on my self. NO it is not bad BO, it is something different. So if I am crazy just say so. :bouncing:

is it the disinfectant smell from the linens at the hospital? DOn't know, but man, I smelled bad no matter how much deoderant and body spray I put on-I finally figured out it was the linens. Sometimes a smell can return w/o the cause being there. I don't know if this is what you mean, but I sure hated it.

It could be the medications you're on. Some of them do funky things. I vaguely remember an odd odor, way back in the beginning of recovery.
My bed is residual morphine, or an antibiotic while in the hospital, or pain meds or something like that.

maybe try researching them on the web... or call your dr and asked if that could be possible. after my surgery i was on codine-i kept having nighmares and waking up sweating like you wouldn't believe... I called the Dr, who I thought was going to think I had lost my mind, and he knew immediately that I was having a reaction to the codine. keep us posted!
