I still have a feeling of an eyelash in my right eye now and then. It isn't constant but, it does happen periodically throughout the day. I had my surgery this past Wednesday the 19th, so, 5 days ago. Did anyone else have that eyelashy kind of pain days after surgery or should I be concerned? At my follow up and the day I went in because I was an idiot with the eye dropper, my doc said all was looking great and I was doing better than I should be. I don't see anything in my eye. Just a little worried because on one of the sheets my doc sent home with me, it says that if I experience pain, I should call him. But, I think I remember reading about the sensation of an eyelash in they eye for a couple days.

i had lasik surgery 3 months ago and enhancement on one eye last week. i never felt the eyelash thing, but did feel like my eyes were really tired...like i'd worn my contacts for too long. that goes away after a few days and the wetting drops help a lot. i used them as often as i thought about it...sometimes 10 or 12 times a day.

Don't worry; that's TOTALLY normal!!! I had my eyes done last May and it took a lot longer than I expected for my eyes to feel "100%" again!! I had a pretty strong prescription, so I think that's the reason it took a while... I'd say it was at least 2 weeks that I was still a little blurry and bleary... The artificial tears helped A LOT... ;)

yea i kind of had that...still do ocassionally but drops get rid of it...mine are doing better still :-D I think the eye i said was worse, as it heals is overtaking the other eye that I thought was stronger, as long as it keeps healing hehe. it has better long distance now it seems once it focuses.
i cant wait til I get 100% too! dont think i will need a touchup, unless down the road a year+

Thank you everyone! I am not too worried about the issue in my right eye. That one was my worst. I think it may even just be a hair that keeps falling into my eye. It is kind of in the right corner of my right eye. Doesn't feel like it is on the cornea which is where I would really worry if I felt any hair like pain.
My eyes are doing much better with the dryness since the surgery. They get better every day. That has really been my biggest problem and I had expected it so, I am not concerned. And, it does feel like I left my contacts in. I haven't worn contacts in 3 or more years and the funny thing is that, at night, I have this urge to go take my contacts out before bed. How weird is that. When I did wear contacts, it was only for about a year and then before and after that, only on and off again. So, the whole contact routine was not a habit for me like the urge to push my glasses up onto my face...that is a habit I am finding the need to break! Heheh! I keep feeling the urge to push them up! A habit I am so relieved to not need anymore!

i still reach for my glasses every morning right after i hit the alarm clock. i thought that was wierd until you said you have the urge to push your glasses up your nose. now THAT'S funny!
eventho my eyesight is not 100%, (i'm 20/40) i'm very grateful and this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. i can do most everything without glasses or contacts except drive at night. i have a pair of glasses with minimal rx to wear to drive at night or see something way off in the distance.
i do wish someone who has had an enhancement to their lasik would respond to my post about whether they've had an enhancement on their enhancement. the doctor says he can do it, but i wonder if i'm taking a risk doing that. should i leave well enuff alone?

Scarrietoo,
I know! How funny is the urge to push them up? My hubby caught me doing it the other day and laughed at me! Hehehe! I hope that subsides soon!
I wish I had something to tell you about the enhancing your enhancement. If you doctor is confident and you trust him or her, you might want to. While I was looking for info about Lasik I stumbled on a website where a woman reflected on her experience with Monovision and I can't remember for sure but, I think she had her enhancement (sometime after her first procedure) done. I think she only did it once. Perhaps toss "Enhancements after lasik" in google and see if that gets you anywhere. Check this site http://www.mylasiksurgery.com/
out and see if that answers any questions. I hope it helps.

hating glasses,
thanks for your suggestions. i had been to the website you suggested and others. i have read some really bad horror stories, but the symptoms and problems are not like mine---thank goodness...or i would really be freaked out! i'm still digging, but can't seem to find anyone who has needed more than one enhancement. i love my doctor and have faith in him. i didn't think to ask the question of whether the risk of complications was growing greater with each surgery or not. i go back to him on friday for my week's follow-up so i guess i can just ask him then. good luck to you.

scarrietoo,
My pleasure. I hope I was able to help. It is a good idea to ask your doctor about any potential complications or risks. Remember though that we were all told of risks with our first surgeries so, weight any risks you are told against what they warned you about with your first procedure. Any operation can be risky. It is good that you have faith in your doc. If it helps, you might go get a second opinion with another reputable Lasik doctor after your visit with your current doc. That may help you make your decision...especially if they are both saying you should do it.
Good luck and keep us informed.
