Starting to feel emotionally flat again. Don't want to get out of bed in the morning. Non-enthusiasic about everything even things that used to get the smallest of smiles out of me (even when depressed). Absolutely no motivation. But the strangest of all are the sharp spikelike pains in my head. They are most uncomfortable and I was wondering if anyone else has felt them before. The last time I remember pain like this I had a concussion but I haven't hit my head recently.
Thanks

Hi reesie, are you still taking klonopin and geodon?
Your first symptoms could be a side effect, but I'm not finding pain in head, or anywhere else as a side effect of either of these drugs.
Have they increased your dosage of either of these recently?
I've had that flat feeling (hello lithium) and tend to Try to push my way past it since the thought of ever going manic or catatonic again simply terrifies me and I hesitate to mess with an overall good thing..
(As you know if you witnessed my small display here recently... heavy sigh... sorry...)

yeah still on klonopin and geodon, no changes in dose except for the fact that i don't take klonopin as religiously has i should (3x a day, i manage 1 or 2 usually, unless I feel jumpy I just forget to take it. when I remember it's usually time for the next dose) I was doing fine this weekend, content and feeling normal them monday and bam back to apathy.

Sometimes I wonder if I have a little "bleed-through" of my natural highs and lows even though I am on a mood stabilizer. Kind of like it cuts thru a serious mood swing but a bit of a depression can still slip through.
The pains have me a little concerned tho...
Is your doctor or his nurse helpful at all?

I saw a nurse prac. today who doesn't know what it is. She's trying me on tension headache meds for now to see if they work, if they don't she'll either go to a migraine treatment or send me to a neurologist. Gotta love modern medicine.

But we don't "know" that! We never really do, do we?

reesie you are oh so right...
I remember taking pills to counteract the side effects of other pills.
Plus I was such a stick and they kept giving me normal size doses. So I'd have way too much med for my body weight and have MORE side effects.
<heavy sigh>

maybe that is my problem! I'm definitely not a "stick" and I get normal size doses to, maybe I need extra strength, I'm a little intolerate to some medications. Practically every sleeping pill they give me I build a resistance to in short order.
But to update the tension meds are lessening the intensity of my headaches but they are still there, tommorrow I'm getting a migraine shot to see if that works.

keystont206,
They are mostly on the left side from center to back. I missed my appointment (and no openings for the rest of the day) so no migraine treatment for me. But I haven't had a headache in a while (I think I had three yesterday compared to my tuesday barage of them), so I guess I'll wait for to come back before scheduling another appt.
