My mother was diagnosed "Vertebro-basilar artery syndrome" in her home country. I took her to my family doctor here in Canada and he says it's LABYRINTHITIS.

Whose diagnosis is correct?
Anybody knows how to distinguish between two?
She just has dizziness when she gets up in the morning.
She also feels like she looses balance when she stands up sometimes.

Thanks,
Robert O.

Hi Janet119,

Thank you very much for your response.
You mentioned "my old neurologist who is wonderful he works at the trillium helth centre in toronto".
Can I have his name please and what is the best way to reach him?
Is it possible to setup an appointment with him?

Thanks,
Robert O.

his name is dr andre douen. all i know is that he now works at the trillium health care centre on the stroke team. he is wonderful. i guess you need to get your family docter to refer your mother to him and they will give you a appointment.
good luck
janet
