I got the CTscan back from my ENT today and he is putting off my sinus obliteration surgery. I may still need it here in a few months, but for now I am not getting it. He says my right sinus passaged look a lot better, however my left doesn't look very good. He told the allergy dept he wants my dosage upped and to see if that will help me some. I am feeling better these days and a lot less dizzy than I was which is a miracle!! So, it seems my last surgery was somewhat successful. So, for now I will continue to irrigate, take allergy meds, and do allergy shots and see where it goes.

Wow, Halls! That's great news! I'm glad that, at least for the moment, you're being spared such an invasive surgery! Hope things continue to improve!

Wow, that is totally great that your feeling better...You say your "last surgery"--what did you originally go in there for to get done?

I had a septoplasty(deviated septum fixed), and had enthmoidectomy, as well as had polyps removed. Basically I had the sinus passages to my upper sinuses opened up. The surgery had looked like a failure, but looks like it is improving some which is great. But, I'm not doing awesome and so my ENT just wants to be patient and wait till the spring and see what happens. So, I may still have surgery, but for now it is off.

This is terrific news for you.... :D I was really afraid of the sinus obliteration...I had a friend that had that surgery done years ago for sinus cancer. It is a gruesome surgery. I will keep you in my prayers...
