bjg 05-29-2002, 07:55 PM has anyone developed ovarian cancer after taking evista..the drug to prevent bone loss in postmenopausal women? MAB51 11-13-2006, 11:52 AM I am new to this forum. I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer after having taken Evista for four years. healthnut 11-19-2006, 12:46 PM A friend and I have the same gynecologic oncologist for different types of ovarian cancer. We were both put on Evista after our surgeries, by him. I know that Evista is a fairly new drug. This is the first I've seen that it could possibly cause cancer. By the way, we both took ourselves off of Evista. She, because she thought it was too expensive. I, after 3 1/2 years started having problems swallowing. I know some osteoporosis meds can cause that, so I went off of it to see. My problem did get better. I hate taking meds anyway. |
