Hi again y'all...As some of you know, because of my visa situation(Im in the Middle East), I have not been able to get a health card for about 7 months. As a result, I am not able to go to the doctor for my mood stabalizer. Thank God you can get Zoloft over the counter here.
Anyway...I tried taking Tegretol because I can get it OTC. About a month ago, I dropped that.
I felt depressed, no self esteem, thought my husband was cheating...blah blah blah! So, I upped my Zoloft from 75 mg per day to 100 mg per day. I feel better than I have in a long time. Im a little confused that I dont seem to need a mood stabalizer.
I have also been on a diet. Nothing specific, just different things from different diets. Body for life, Dr. Phil...etc. Drinking an assload of water a day and taking flaxseed oil. Maybe this is why I feel so good?? I havent had fast food/fried food in a month!
What all do you guys think could be attributing to my awesome mood??
Love,
Deanne

Hi Deanne,
I'm thrilled you're doing better YAY!!!!!!!!! My thought is if it ain't broke don't fix it. If the Zoloft is working for now great. You may need to go on the tegretol again so don't be disappointed if it happens. In the mean time GOOD FOR YOU!
I was in a research study at a hospital in Denver CO and it was for fish oil and other oils in your diet for people with bp. Of course I was in the low fat diet and fake pill group. Anyway the info that came out said that the brain needs oil (fish oil in this case) or fats to function properly in bp's. They stopped the study early because they were actually hurting those of us without fats. I take fish oil everyday now. I also eat flax seed meal but that's a new thing I start a couple of week ago for another problem. That's a long winded way of saying the flax seed oil can't hurt and it's probably good is a good idea.
Love,
Jamie
PS it's nice to see you here. I've missed you lately.

Hi Jamie!!
Haha...I just bought some Flaxseed gelcaps today. I've been reading lately about the benefits of them. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if one day I have to get back on the Tegretol. I really dont feel like I am in a Manic state right now though. I feel stable for the most part. My problems with the hubby are MUCH MUCH better. I must admit that tonight I have been a bit emotional. It could be one of a few things. 1. PMS 2. Just started taking Zantrax 3. Hubbys back to work after vacation 4. Start of depression 5. Just of those days. Maybe all of the above. Anyway, thanks for the help. I missed you too!! I've been spending alot of time on the weightloss board. Sorry for the neglect :)
Lots of love,

Deanne,
I agree with the list of possibilities. PMS by it's self can throw you for a loop add in the other thing and it just might be one of those days. You have a right!
I'm so glad to hear your getting along better with your husband. That must be a big relief.
Well, Take care.

Jamie
