Everyone here should look at this new product that claims to have "conquered" Fibromyalgia by showing improvements in everyone who has tried it so far. The product is call Myalgistat by T-Nation... I think its worth checking out and if anyone tries it, please share the results with us.

lamotta,
Honestly, I stay away from "the newest product to treat FM!!!" You can never be sure if it's some crack-pot scam that does nothing but waste your money. I tend to lean towards "real" treatments. Believing anything will have an effect on our FM is wishful thinking. If there is any type of treatment or drug out there, you'd find it in medical journals or websites. Buyer beware!
God bless, Jen

Jen, I tend to agree with you on that issue. There are definitely a lot of scams out there and very little of it is supported with hard science. I've been a member of T-Nation for years now and have bought a lot of there supplements of which I am quite pleased with most of the time. They designed this product from another that has been available as a fat loss supplement called Hot-Rox. I myself couldn't tolerate it but I know several people that have been able to and they say it works well. An associate of T-Nation was supposidly giving Hot-Rox to his Fibromylagia patients and noticed some pretty dramatic improvements in ALL of his patients. They reformulated it specifically for Fibromyalgia now under the name Myalgistat. Its based on a theory that Fibromyalgia is a metabolic disease so by increasing the conversion of the thyroid hormone T4 to T3, you will notice improved functionability without causing suppression or your natural thyroid production. To say the least, it is interesting reading and they claim to have success with it so far and are planning large scale studies very soon. You may want to keep an eye on it and see how it turns out. I myself will probably try it now because they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. What do I have to lose...I will post my experiences with it later.

lomatta77:

I searched and read everything that you posted here about Myalgistat. Sounds good and heaven knows a lot of us here have tried homeopathic ways to help releive some of the symptoms of FM. Some work, some don't. My only advice is to discuss this regimine with your doctor and even go so far as to bring him a list of the ingredients so that he can be sure it doesn't interact with your prescription meds.

Did I read that this product uses "simple sugars" as one of it's ingredients to help relieve FM symtoms?

Thanks for your info.

I'm curious to know why you couldn't tolerate the product. What kind of side effects to you have?

Rstarre, I, myself, couldn't tolerate Hot-Rox because it contains caffeine and other stimulants in it...I'm highly sensitive to stimulants...a cup of coffee gives me a 2 hour long panic attack! Thankfully, when they designed Myalgistat, they left the stimulants out and only used the ingrediants used to aid T4 to T3 conversions. Please, let me know how it works for you.

tkgoodspirit, Myalgistat doesn't use simple sugars in there formulation. Where did you get that idea?

I tried it for a month. It seemed to give me a burst of energy for a few days and then nothing. It did nothing for me as far as relieving symptoms of Fibro.

Hey,

I'm glad this was bumped up, cuz I never saw your reply lamotta. Sorry.

As for the simple sugars, I read it somewhere when I researched Myalgistat, but for the life of me now, I can't remember where. I must have read that instead of Glucose like most supplemental products use for preservation or taste, this product uses "simple" sugars that are the natural sugars found in it's own ingredients. Wasn't meaning to say it was "sugary" or anything like that. The fact that simple sugars are used in a product is a good thing.
Just like Martha says! :)

So, has anyone used this product for any length of time. It's been a couple months since this was originally posted and I'm curious to know how it's working for anyone using it.

Here's wishing you all a good spirit,
tk
