View Full Version : COULD this be cancer?

For about the last 6-12 months, I've noticed these deformed looking white "blobs" or "bumps" if you will, on the back of my throat when I look with a flashlight. They aren't on my mouth, just throat. I have pressure/tension headaches almost every day, and the doctor cannot tell me why. I have also a general feeling of "yuck" in my throat, as well as a significant LOSS OF SMELL and what feels like a blocked nasal passage (but the doc says my sinus are OK). So what is going on with me?! Could this be syphilis or something? Cancer? Me going crazy? Please help!

I'd think it would warrant a thorough check to see what is going on. You could have something as simple as a serious strep infection to any number of things.

A biopsy could perhaps be done on the throat spots to see if there is anything there to concern you.

How did doc check sinus? Ct is about the only reliable way to check sinus problems.

MRI's are also good for finding problems, as are PET scans if cancer is suspected.
