View Full Version : excessive sweating in underarms

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know a really good deodorant or some sort of powder that controls perspiration for underarms? I mean, my case is bad enough that it bothers me because whenever I wear long sleeved blouses, it would show easily, and it's embarrassing. But I personally don't think it's bad enough that i need surgery. So, is there something out there that works? Thank you in advance for your time

Go to the dermatologist and get a prescription for Drysol. It works great for me. It stings really bad after I first put it on, however, if I put it on at night and wear a really tight T-shirt so my underarm areas dont touch each other, it is fine. The bottle recommends wrapping the area in plastic, however, I think the really tight t-shirt works fine.

I got a presciption for Drysol from my regular dr, and yes it does work great.
Started working right away. Does sting alot, but stinging's better then sweating.

I use Certain Dri...got it at CVS. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and it's wonderful. I use it once every week or so now because I hardly sweat under my arms anymore.

Certain Dri works great! Be sure you follow the directions carefully and use it at night only (I'm pretty sure you would DIE if you used it after showering and shaving!). It can cause painful stinging, but it really is effective. Good luck!

Certain Dri works really well for me! I had the same problem and asked around hear and thats what everybody told me to use. Use it only at night and use like 3 storkes in each underarm. Also Ive heard that Maxium Dri works really well but you can only purchase that online- just type it in like google or something. I bought my Certain Dri at Walgreens and you can buy it at CVS. Hope it works cause it works for me! :)

Certain Dri all the way! Works great for me, why I didn't start using it earlier I have no idea, you can pick it up at Walgreens, if you don't want to go to the doctor!

I love certain dri too, I haven't "sweated" in over three years. Mine was so bad before even a regular fitten tshirt would have a hug wet ring-now, I have NONE. You don't need a script for it either. You can order it from the walmart pharmacy. I keep a bottle on hand just in case, but haven't used it in over a year.

Depends on the severity. For myself- Certian Dri wasnt strong enough - so I went to my Doctor and was prescribed DrySol - This product literally changed my life.

After using for several years - I usually only have to apply 2-3 times a month. I used to have severe sweating in the underarms. Now- none.

i dont want to burst any bubbles, as i suffer the same problem, but using strong antipersperants like that and clogging the sweat glands can cause masses/lumps/cysts....just be careful
