I had an epidural with both labors. I personally would not attempt delivering a baby without it. My second labor went quicker and my body bounced back quicker. I think the most important thing to do for your body is get a lot of rest after (and before) the delivery.

april,
I had an epidural during all three of my pregnancies. There is no way that I would ever have a baby without it. (I'm fixed tho, so it's impossible for me to have to go through that again) I would get plenty of rest before and after, and take your time healing on you own time, not on someone elses.

dear april,
i had my son 26 years ago. i was stubborn and refused the epidural. i hear the epi offers all the joy of childbirth without all the pain. i think we can all agree i was dumb. go for it little sister.
have you spoken with your ob doc about fms and pregnancy? i would be most curious to hear what she/he has to say.
peace,
bluelakelady
