Can someone tell me how ovarian cancer is diagnosed? By ultrasound? Thank you.

I suggest that you look this up on cancernet, the official National Cancer Institute site.

Diagnostic techniques can change because of improvements in technology. But unless you have a very obvious cancer-like growth [irregular shape, with lots of vascularization], it's unlikely that a positive diagnosis of cancer can be made just with ultrasound. The standard way to diagnose cancer is to do a biopsy -this means taking some tissue and examining it under a microscope.
