Hi friends,

I'm going through an indecisive time at the moment and have to make some decisions that I just can't make up my mind about. Your advice and comments would be very, very welcome.

This year I have my degree to finish - that's a certain. The other options are to go on Disability pension so I don't have to stress about working (whilst I'm still not stable) and instead volunteer at a Mental Health facility which would aid my career plus help me personally I'm sure. OR I could work casually and take that risk of not being able to work properly (and maybe face stressful times which I don't cope with very well) but I won't have the stigma of being on a pension. Also keeping in mind that I would probably get more money being on the pension that what I would working casually. I have to make these decisions in the next couple of days as I have an interview that was lined up before I realised I could go on the pension. Should I ring and cancel or go with it and hope for the best. I don't know. I keep changing my mind.

Thanks for any comments or advice given. You guys are the best.

Hi there ODT,

If you're feeling 'indescisive' - then now is NOT the best time for YOU to make YOUR decisions - if you think about it...!

Do you have any access to 'careers guidence' or something similar for them to ADVISE what might be the best course of action for BOTH the long and short term?

Just trying to help...

Hedge. (struggling to do a home-study degree course in Physics)...

I agree with Hedge. You know, I most always agree with him. He's the man.

Hedge has a really good point. Try talking to a career guidence person as soon as possible.

I know you're going to have to make a decision sooner or later but, I would make it as late as possible so you don't do something you regret. That's not easy to do when your bp sometimes. You'll make the right decision for you. I'm sure of it.

Love,

Jamie

Well people from near and far, I'm back at home and 'coping'.
The decisions have been made and apart from clearing up the beauracracy (sp?), it's all sealed and done. Cheers for your words, it meant alot to know that people were thinking about my situation - even for a little while - and positive things have come of it. Next step - organising some volunteer work so I don't feel like I'm being too much of a drain on society :)

Peace and love to all!!
