Rub baby oil on it...that works pretty good! Also if you have a fine tooth baby comb keep runnin that thru it till the stuff starts to come out.

Yes, that works. You may have to do it a few days in a row to get it all, it's kinda of a pain to wash out but it works. Just be gentle, but good enough to lift the chunks.

I always found that a gentle baby shampoo everynight, even if you're just shampooing scalp! lol, and combing the scalp gently, then rubbing baby oil on their head, worked everytime.

baby oil never worked for my son. The Dr. told me to use Selson Blue once or twice a week. Worked like a charm. But once the cap is gone, stop using the shampoo as it is pretty strong stuff!

Hi I used olive oil and it worked pretty good, I worked it into his scalp for about 5 mins then washed it with baby shampoo, was gone in 2 days. good luck!!

I HAVE THE CURE.
margrine. i had the same problem with my 7 month old daughter who was born with lots of hair. i tried everything. then someone told me to melt margarine and brush it into the scalp and hair, wait a few mins or even overnight and shampoo it really good. IT WORKED IN A DAY FOR ME. its was the best thing ive ever used for cradle cap.
its something in the margarine thatr really works well ..
if u try it please tell me how things went.

My daughter had a BAD case of cradle cap..I also suggest baby oil. Put it on in the morning, and put a hat on the baby (I used the one she wore at the hospital) then, that evening, use a fine tooth comb. Continue until you are satisfied.

I think my doc said I could use some selsun also. Just be careful of the eyes and you may want to do it before the baby oil comb. Or wait a few days after. Just to make sure there aren't any tender spots the shampoo could irritate.

Yes, my doctor recommended Head and Shoulders and it worked. At first I would rub it in and then comb before I rinsed and then after a few times of that I would just shampoo as usual. I stopped using it after her cap was gone because like someone else said, it is strong. I use it once a week though just to keep it gone! Good Luck, I"m sure any of these remedies will work for your little one!
