I made it through the biopsy, now waiting for the results. In the meantime i was wondering if anyone could help me out with this question. When i had the biopsy done my dr. said for some reason i have an abnormal cervix. Like when you have a baby you have a line called a lesion, but mine is different. Any suggestion to this will be helpful.
Thanks Melissa

Monkey, glad to hear the news. I have read a bit about your story. The waiting is awful, isn't it? Sorry I can't help you with your question. Hang in there! Hope you feel better soon.

What biopsy did you have? I havent read your story yet so I dont know. I have had a uterine biopsy and a breast biopsy. I had a hyserectomy in 2002 due to excessive bleeding. The uterine biopsy was very painful and the wait was awful so I know what you are going through on the waiting part. What did the doc say about your cervix? It was abnormal or it had abnormal cells? Mine never got back to normal after my last child 12 years ago it was so damaged from her "bumping" it during labor that it never got back to normal. God bless you with your results.

Autumn, i think thats what is wrong with my cervix it just looked abnormal maybe the same as yours that it didnt go back to normal after birthing. I had a cervical biopsy done, just got the results back on Thursday and it was postivite for the CIN 3, and now i have to have a Leep Procedure.

Melissa,
I'm glad to hear you got your results back. Now you're waiting for something else, though. That is the worst part, I think (I'm waiting, too, and I hate it!)

I know nothing about this condition, but I found two websites that seem very straightforward: http://www.gynalternatives.com/cervical.htm http://www.colposcopy.com/leep.html

The hystersisters.com search also turned up 64 messages with that term in it. This might be a nice place to hang out and get some help: http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=105563&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending

Best of luck, monkey! I hope everything turns out ok.
