http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif Mother in law had breast cancer 20 yrs ago, has been in and out of Remission, couple of years ago had surgery, just now healing. Now a spot has showed up on her rib. They have done CT, PET etc..they say they want to do rib biopsy which terrifys her due to invasiveness and healing time, they will remove a fairly large section of her rib. I want to know 2 things...anyone had an open surgical rib biopsy, what is it like, do you have helpful web links etc.. and better yet does anyone know of a better alternative to the rib biopsy??
