Today I went to the bathroom and noticed a light pink discharge. I didn't notice it until I wiped so it is not really heavy or anything. I had my period 2 weeks ago and I never ever had this happen inbetween periods. PLus for a couple months here and there I notice a slight pain on the outer inside part of my vagina- is that called the labia? I am really worried. My friend keeps saying that I should be having tests done at my age. I haven't gotten any tests done down there since I was 18. I am scared to death. Could this be a sign of something wrong?

OF COURSE YOU NEED TO BE CHECKED EVERY YEAR IF YOU ARE NOT GOING ON A REGULAR BASIS. I AM 25 AND JUST FOUND OUT I HAVE CERVICAL DYSPLASIA SO YOUR NEVER TO YOUNG TO DEVELOPE SOMETHING. I HAVE HEARD IF YOU ARE ON BIRTH CONTROL PILLS THAT IS SOMETIMES NORMAL TO SPOT INBETWEEN PERIODS SO JUST GO GET CHECKED OUT. GOOD LUCK ITS PROBABLY NOTHING :)

What is what you have exactly? Can you get it treated? I am not on birth control pills, never was. That is why I never really got checked on a regular basis.

Trinket are you sexually active? If you are you should have a pap at least once a year. Where exactly is the pain near your vaginal canal? Sorry for the questions just trying to get a better idea of where you are sore. Take care of yourself and book an appt for a pap exam k?

It is hard to explain where the pain is. It feels like it is not in the canal, feels like its on the inside part of the labia which is the lips or whatever u want to call it. I hope I don't have a sore there. I am married and have not had sex with anyone but my husband for 8 years now. Before I met him, I had 4 partners and I had a pap smear done when I was 18 and I had nothing wrong... I am real scared to get one done now. I don't have a regular doctor and it is hard to find a gynecologist around here that takes new patients. I was thinking about waiting until I lost the weight I am trying to lose. I have about 40lbs left to lose. I lost 30 so far. I don't like the idea of people seeing me so exposed even if it is a doctor and I know this must sound stupid but I feel if they must see me I don't want the doctor to comment on my weight. I really don't like doctors much.

No Trinket it doesnt sound stupid at all. I hated Paps all the time. have you taken a mirror and checked to see if you have sores? Ok how about going to a walk in clinic and get a urine test done? It will show if there is infection anywhere I believe. If there are white cells in your urine there is an infection somewhere. They do a simple urine dip test in my Docs office thats how they found the blood in my urine and I was Dx with Renal Ptosis (floating kidney). I wouldnt wait too long because some pelvic problems show little or no signs untill they are very progressed. Think about it and take care.
