I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and my doctor took a culture of the breast secrections (by the way, it started having blood in it a couple of day's ago) and then he scheduled me for:
Bilateral Mamogram
Spot Mamogram
Galactogram
Sonogram...
Does anyone know what these are and what should I expect? Also the doctor stated that he felt a thickening or harding behind my nipple...
Should I be worried about any of this? Only family history of breast cancer is my mother's mother's sister...
Any response would be very helpful.

My mother has breast cancer and she want to the doctor a little late. This can be cured in the first stages almost perfectly- I hope it can be cured in the others, too. I really hope that you will be O.K., and i hope that every other woman that has this horrible disease will be O.K., too. My mother has some brain metastases-as the doctors have told us, and I really really really feel like dying. I hope she will be O.K.- there is no other way. You should think so, too.

Good luck to you Becki. Your situation sounds similar to mine, and I hope it all works out for you. Even having undergone a mastectomy (not to say that you will need one- it may not be anythign) I feel better than I have in a long time, and am glad to be free of breast cancer!
