Does anyone on the board take omega-3 supplements for RA or OA? Does it help control the pain and inflammation? Any particular brand?

Hi. I take a liquid fish oil made by Carlson. They also sell gel caps. This brand is supposed to be very safe. I have OA. I'm not sure how much it helps me, but I guess it's better than nothing. I hope you find some relief.

Hello AtlantaBlue

I take Omega 3 Fish Oil, Gel caps. My Rheumatologist had me on Bextra for about a year now. My sed rate just kept climbing and we could not get the elevation down. Approximately 6 months ago I started with the Omega and finally my sed rate has gone back down to normal. I do believe it was the Omega that finally did the job, but I was taking the Bextra along with it.
