I had severe social phobias and panic attacks for 20 years and got no help at all from many docs or psychiatrists, the word panic attack was never mentioned
since I am talkative I got much psychotherapy on the couch which did me more heam than good
finally in 1981 I diagnosed myself from info put out by an agoraphobia self help grpup and gradually got better
until then I had thought I was the only person in the world with my problems
I found that recovering from it was no more difficult than living with it, just different :jester:
recovering the correct way doesnt involve any struggle or fighting
