Hi everyone!
I just returned from my follow-up check after having a +HPV previous reading. From what I understand, this check is to find the degree of the HPV (High or Low.) My question is, since I have had a totally hyst. (10 yrs. ago) how does the HPV affect me? Is the virus has to be contained within the vagina? Can it affect anything else? I was told it could take up to a month to get the HPV levels back. I should also not that over the past several months I have been having urinary pain with some bleeding. They did a culture today and I will possibly be seeing a urologist. My doctor's concern because my hyst. was done due to severe endometreosis that the endometreosis may have spread into my bladder and is causing the bleeding. Is this possible? Can the HPV also affect the bladder? I was hoping to feel better today, but now I'm just more confused. I know this is a lot of rambling but could somebody please help.
Thanking you in advance,
MG
