I take my bp meds at 10:00 pm. I just recently found out that it has a half life of 9 to 12 hrs. I was wondering if I took it in the morning instead of at night if I would get lower bp reading during the day. I was thinking that maybe I'm getting most of the benefit from the drug while I'm sleeping. Does anyone know if this makes a difference?

I would recommend getting the most bang out of BP drugs during the waking hours especially with a drug with a half day half-life.
I find many interfere with my sleep so morning dosing works better.

Any reason why you started taking the drug at night instead of the morning? Unless you have sleep apnea, your natural blood pressure rhythm should be lowest at night while sleeping and highest during the day while you are awake. If your drug only lasts 9-12 hours, you are taking it at the wrong time of day for greatest benefit.
