I've been suffering from the following symptoms for over two years now:

1) urgency and frequency of urination

2) constipation accompanied by flank pain

3) a constant ache in my anus

4) achey butt, legs, feet--radiating all the way down to the soles of my feet

5) muscle spasms (non painful but constant) of butt, legs and feet

6) all of above symptoms worse after ejaculation

I've been pursuing this through urologists because of the urinary/ejacutation symptoms but recently the've suggested that it might be a nerve damage issue. My question to the forum is, does anyone have these symptoms and if so is there anything that you've done that has helped!

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.

I think the first thing you need to do is to get an MRI of the lumbar area of your spine.this all sounds as though it IS realated to some sort of spinal nerve compromise. It could be any number of different things that could cause this. But an MRI is really the best place to start and depending on what is found,a referral to an orthosurgeon for an evaluation of your possible condition.hang in there.Marcia

Hi Melville - I experienced all of those except ejaculation - It turns out I have lyme disease and two tick borne coinfections. I never had a rash - never had a fever - don't remember a tick bite.

Lyme is everywhere - not just the NE. As well, it can hide out in your body long after a tick bite and wait for a time when the immune system is down.

I tested negative twice through conventional labs - then went through IgeneX labs in Palo Alto and was very positive for lyme, babesia and ehrlichia.

Please visit the Lyme Thread here on Healthboards for more info....

Could be Lyme but I would definately have the lumbar looked into, most of those symptoms sound like a really aggravated, pinched or damaged nerve. Good luck to you.
