I am only 16 years old, and i feel a little left out; since out of all my friends it only happens to me on drastic scales. Whenever i get nervous or excited, i usually cannot stand or sit still, My whole body goes weak, and i continuly shake in all parts. My head, my hands, and my legs shake and go weak. Its hard to calm myself down since, it doesn't stop until i am alone, or sense that no one is looking and it is over. Esp. my head, I can't hold it up without shaking or feeling too weak to keep it up. I can keep it in normal position or keep it down, but i still get tingling feelings. This all has been happening way before i even took meds. Lately I've been having rashes and i am on Hydrozxy HCL 25mg Pliva and Atarax 25 mg all in one tab. Its a sedative that makes me go to sleep at night, and also a mental med. I've notice that taking it causes my mouth to dry more, my vision to blur, and my shaking habits actually increase with twitching and slight weaker feeling. Is this a mental disorder? or is it normal? My friends don't usually act so weird as me when they get nervous or excited.

dear Darkaz.......
Everyone reacts different to stress, lots of people are nervous about being the center of attention or speaking to more than one person and have all kinds of reactions many you've mentioned. But it would be hard for anyone to tell you exactly what's causing it as we don't know your medical history
like why your on medication for sleep at such a young age........... I'd suggest telling your doctor about your symptoms as he/she knows your medical history and why they've prescribed the meds your on. it may give him insight to whether the meds are working or not. weakness and blurred vision along with your other symptoms i'm sure are things he'd want to know about.

ps....being different from your friends isn't a bad thing, its good to be unique
don't ever be ashamed of who you are, work with it.

-sigh-

I don't know why she prescribed me a med for sleeping either....its also a sedative, but I have a rash (i think its Hives but i'm not a doctor....I've just looked up information on my problem) The drug has anti-histamines that help with my rash and stuff... Its been happening for 3 months and I've been taking the med for that long, skipping a day, taking it everyother day since thats when my rash breaks out. Otherwise I've never really had a history of any huge sickness, sometimes just the common cold....although i did get a really big flu during a summer vacation in Vietnam, and i took meds over there that made me even worse. And then there was the chicken poxs at a young age....but other than that I dun have a complicated history of medical problems.
