Ok, the hubby and i had a talk about everything that happened.
I think that I may have had a reaction with my zoloft and the alcohol.
I took my zoloft about an hour before we started drinking. NOT A GOOD IDEA. Anyway, it does not excuse what happened. He knows that.
This is our first year of marriage...its sooo hard!
Did y'all have any problems when you first got married or in a relationship?
I know that Im in a depressed phase but is there anything that I can do to keep from biting his head off all of the time??
Love,
Deanne

Deanne,
Oh my heavens! OH my heavens!! OH MY heaven!!! Did we have trouble our first year :bouncing: ! Our first year was terrible. We both still look back with wonder that we survived! I was out of control and he had no real idea what it was like living with a bp. We ended up closer then most people we know mostly because we survived it. I'm not exagerating it was pretty bad.
Example: We (or should I say he) were planting a fig tree in the back yard. I wanted it 6 inches to the right.(why God only knows) I got so mad because he wouldn't move it I cussed him out for all the neighbors to hear! That's on of many things...I wasn't properly medicated.
I'll bet Zoloft and alcohol are a nasty combo. Zoloft, being an SSRI, can screw with bp's all by itself without a mood stabilizer. Yikes lady, I'll bet you were on a roll!
I'm very glad you guys were able to talk this out. You might want to see what's out there otc for a mood stabilizer. Is there anything besides depakote? It must be tough.
Take care and keep us posted!
Love,
Jamie

BP or not, the 1st year can be very hard.
It does seem to get better as time rolls along.

Omg, yes! We made it to 5 years in Nov! And still trying to figure which way is up.
Umm . . .Didn't mean that to sound bad, if it did. We've had a lot of bumps along the way. We've worked with a counselor almost all of the way. I can very truthfully say he's been our lifeline. Must feel like he's got two quarrelling kids when we're there. I am bp and ocd, and my hubby is add. Personality-wise I like to jump in and face things head-on while is more of a laid-back/if it hasn't exploded don't do anything type. No matter what, he is still the best friend I have in the world, and we still think that life together is better than apart.
I have to say that hearing good stuff from you folks that are still in it together after a while is very inspiring and encouraging. Thanks-a-gazillion!
