hi you guys
my doctor told me not to smoke after doing the leep because it may cause more cancerous cells to grow on my cervix. im pretty sure this is true, but i was wondering if any of you did smoke after your LEEP and if it did cause any negative changes

I am a smoker. I had my leep done over two weeks ago. Though my doctor said nothing about not smoking after my procedure I can tell you this much. Smoking cigarettes HAS been linked to cervical cancer. My doctor DID tell me that choosing to smoke can weaken your immune system, which could make the cells get worse because your body is not as able to fight off disease. But, I smoked after my leep and after more than two weeks, I haven't had any bleeding, or problems at all. So basically I think it's what we already know. Smoking ain't good for ya! Hope I helped a little.
