Hi,
I thought your name looked familiar.... saw you on the back board yesterday.

Why do you say your friend thinks she has ovarian cancer? Has she been tested and gotten any results back? A bad ultrasound? An increased CA125? If she and you are not sure what to look for.... you can look for some of my posts here on that subject. Or go look at ovariancancer.org or ovarian.org; both are listed, along with some other links about cancer on the blue heading above all the threads; "resource"s or something like that.

Please give me more information about the situation... otherwise, just be a good friend and make sure she sees a doctor IMMEDIATELY. If she won't go, talk to her mother or father or guardian... Please post back.

Youth,
I have not heard that continuous bleeding is a symptom of ovarian cancer, so my non-professional opinion is that it is not that. But it can be any number of other things... from something simple and easily explainable to something more serious. But it most definitely does not have to be any type of cancer. If you do a search or review of topics on the Women's health forum here, you will find that there are a lot of women with continuous bleeding.... from one cause or another.

Continue to be a good friend and to be supportive... good friends in need are hard to find. I hope it's one of the less serious things; it has a good chance of being that but most definitely does need to be checked out.
