my son has no firm dx but He presents with trucal hypotonia and a ataxic gait. His gait is looking nicely lately. I started giving him calcium magesium citrate for kids at the exact dosage for his age. On the week he has been on it his gait has gone to pot. ITs horrible. We have had the same thing with vitamin b supplements. IT seems like everytime we try a supplement his gait gets wide and his trunk starts swaying. I feel like he needs supplements/vitamins as he is gluten free and he has started brusing easily. Any idea on what could be causing this reaction, does it have something to do with his undx neurological condition? Tia

How long did it take for your son's gait to return to normal once you stopped taking the calcium?

Its been 3 days and it started getting better this evening. Here is a weird question. A professional suggested today that I get him tested for candida, could that be related to this if he has an overgrowth problem? It sounds farfetched but I just can't understand why b vitamins and magnesium both did this to him when they should be 'helping' his nervous system.
