Hi There!
I have been on medication for high bp for 18 years- since first pregnancy. I currently take 25mg atenolol in morning and night, 25mg hctz in morning and 10mg lisinopril in the morning. my bp has always been between 135/85 - 160/116. Yesterday I noticed that I kept getting dizzy and almost fainting, so I checked my bp. all day it was running between 100/65 for the highest, and 86/57 for the low. I took it approx every two hours.

This morning I just checked it with no meds and it is 98/71.

Should I be concerned, or just wait to see how the day plays out with no meds?

Thanks, Susie

You might want to call your doctor and let them know, see what they say. Have you checked your bp regularly over the last few weeks, or just when you started feeling faint?

Unfortunately I am not too good at taking it- usually only when I get that weird HBP feeling in my neck, or, as yesterday, when I feel faint. You would think that after dealing with it for so long that I would be better at it. I even changed the batteries in my bp cuff, thinking that was why it was reading so low. oh well.

You are right, I should just call the doc.
