Absolutely. IBU can cause ulcers of the stomache pretty easily. It's very hard on your digestive system, period. Are you taking it with plenty of food?

GL is right it can cause errosive type stomach ulcers and constipation!! These type ulcers are not easily cured like the ones caused by H.pylori bacteria and you also have to deal with the OA pain..

Yes, I have been taking it with plenty of food.
For the past couple of days I haven't taken ibuprofen. Instead I am taking Darvocet for the pain and have had NO problems whatsoever. It must be the ibuprofen causing my problem.

I know how you feel!! Ask your doc to Rx a med called Cytotec?it is specificaly made to take with your NSAIDS to help prevent the exact problems that you are now having.It truely was a lifesaver for my stomach.It works really well.marcia
