Hi everyone.

My name is Heather and I am 20 years old. I just had my tonsils taken out February 1st because I kept having a lot of sore throats and tonsillitis. Once I had 9 cases in a year.

Anyway....I am in a LOT of pain with my recovery. My doctor gave me Percocet to take every 3-4 hours as needed for pain. Well I only have enough left to last like through today. Do ya think he will give me a refill becasue I hurt so bad I am crying. I am suppose to go for my post-op check on Thursday.

And I am having a LOT OF PAIN with what feels like my tongue. It is one HUGE cold sore it feels like.

And I work at Ruby Tuesdays restaurant as a server and I just took off until this coming Saturday(the 12th) and then go back to work full time. well I have NO ENERGY and I am hurting so bad..everyone has told me since I am older I need to rest more because it takes longer to heal...should I take an extra week off of work to get more of a full recovery? Our job is really strenuous and we are always running around. I dont wanna make myself sick or run down. Thanks for any help.

I would suggest taking more time off, as well as calling your dr up to ask for more pain meds, I'm sure s/he will understand.
