I read that individuals who have HFA or another ASD don't emotionally mature past the age of 23 yrs old. And that their emotional age is 2/3 of the chronological age.

What do you all think,is this true?

Usually ASD kids are 2 years behind socially/emotionally.

Humm, like the above poster said, I think if you let them see and get exposed to other stuff, they may come to enjoy it.

I find myself watching what my son watches now... before it didn't matter, it didn't faze him, now.... I worry about it. I now worry about violence in things, words and name calling.. I don't want him to bring this into real life....

he does repeat alot of stuff he hears and put it into his conversation, so I have found some stuff is inaproprate.. but sometimes it is coming from a camercial and that really gets my goat... why do they have to advertise this stuff like do, even on the kids chanels?

This estimate has always been right on the money for my son. Even his speech development was about two years behind, though now he is pretty much caught up (he's ten).
