I had a coloscopy done 2 days ago, and yesterday I had nothing but the normal orange discharge of the treatment the doctor put to heal where he had taken the biopsies. Today though, I found thick, tan discharge which I found to be skin (or the lining from inside). At first I thought nothing of it because I'd think it would be normal for some to come out since he hacked some out and probably didn't get it all. But...it seems to be a lot, and it has be happening all day long. Is this something to worry about? How long should his last? How long would you think it is till it is safe to have sexual intercourse again?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx, Jaime

I blead heavy for about 4 days post colpo. I though I had started my period again, with large clots. I phoned my doc about this, and he told me it was normal, and from the colpo.
I think he told me 5-7 days to wait for sex. We did it after 6, and it was a little tender, and bled a little afterwards.

Your cervix is always moist so it's tough for your body to form scabs or clots on the little cuts from the biopsies. You could be losing tissue or just the clots that are trying to form to heal it. It really isn't something to worry too much about.
And five days is about what they usually recommend before sex. Wait at least that doc unless your doc told you to wait longer.
