Hello, I'm doing a research paper for school on breast cancer in males with particluar attention to the psychological aspects found. I can find lots of information on the physical aspects, but not much regarding the mindset of those men who find they have breast cancer.

I would appreciate any information regarding how you felt in various situations associated with the journey breast cancer causes.

How did it feel to get a mamogram ? Where you worried about the aspect of being a man who has a disease that women usually get? Afraid to get treatment for fear of what others might think? I have read a few accounts from high profile people, but getting information from the users of this message board would help me to perhaps find a correlation or dinstinction in the psychological relm with male breast cancer that can broaden other's understanding that this could happen to them.

Thank you very much.

Hi there,

I'm a female, so I can't help your research personally, but there is an organization which might. Young Survival Coalition (youngsurvival.org) may let you post your research on their site so that people can respond. I once participated in a grad student's study via that organization.

Good luck!
