Hi, I am new here. Tonight while laying on my couch I felt a hard mass on my hip/pelvic area. It hurt to touch, and I assumed maybe my pants or underwear was too tight and maybe the soreness was from that, and I checked the other side, and there was nothing there. The painful side had a hard lump under it. I stood up, and let my husband feel, all he said was "Oh, thats nothing. Maybe your stomach is just in a knot." LOL.
Anyways, I am petrified what could it be? I've never actually ever felt a lump where there was pain. Its located right where your panties would be at the almost inner thigh/cervix. Hard to explain where its located, but point is, its there. Instead of worrying myself by ooking it up on the net (every site lets you believe you have every disease in the world!) I thght maybe you nice folk could help! I've been reading a lot of other posts, so any info would be appreciated.
Just for some details about me, I do have HPV (no warts or any symptons actually. Just the virus)I am expecting my period within a couple days, and I sometimes procrastinate on going to the bathroom when I have to go. Could it be an infection? Bladder? I'm not good with any medical stuff, so if anyone out there can relate before I go visit my GYN, I'd appreciate it. I was just at my Gyn about 3 weeks ago, and my PAP came back GOOD. No needed repeats or treatment. So, you think maybe they missed something? Thanks for any info! I'll check back soon!

not for sure, but it sounds like it could be folliculitus. That is an inflamation and an infection of the hair follicles. You might want to look into that. Good luck
